OTP authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a time-sensitive verification code during login. This multi-factor authentication method significantly improves account security.
When OTP authentication is enabled, you must enter both your regular login credentials and a verification code generated by an authenticator app on your mobile device during the login process.
Navigate to Account Management > Security Setting > OTP Authentication.
Enabling OTP Authentication
- Go to the Security Setting page.
- Click Bound in Bind TOTP Authentication.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up authentication on your mobile device.
- Install an OTP authenticator app on your mobile phone, such as Google Authenticator or FreeOTP.
- Using the app, do one of the following:
- Scan the QR code displayed on the screen.
- Manually enter the account and key information.
- Enter the 6-digit authentication code generated by the app.
- Click Enable to complete the setup.
Note: The authentication code is a 6-digit number that refreshes every 30 seconds.
Disabling OTP Authentication
- On the Security Setting page, click Change to disable OTP authentication.
- Enter the current OTP authentication code from your authenticator app.
- After OTP authentication is disabled, you will no longer need to enter an OTP code when logging in to the Atomile Console.
