To discontinue acceleration services for a specific domain, you can use the Domain Disable feature. When a domain is disabled, all associated configurations on Atomile’s global CDN edge servers are removed, effectively taking the domain offline from the CDN network. As a result, the domain will no longer receive acceleration services because the required configurations will no longer exist.

Therefore, before disabling the domain, make sure that its DNS settings no longer point to the CNAME address provided by Atomile. Otherwise, service access may be disrupted.

If you want to restore CDN acceleration services for the domain later, you can use the Domain Enable feature to re-enable it.

How to Disable a Domain

1. Log in to the Atomile Console and select the appropriate product.
2. Go to Configuration and locate the domain you want to configure.
3. If the domain status is Enabled, click the button, and then click Disable to start the process.
4. The system displays a confirmation prompt to verify that you want to disable the domain.
5. After clicking Next, Atomile starts a comprehensive analysis and monitoring process for the specified domain and alerts you to the potential risks of disabling it. Carefully review the Important Notice before proceeding.

Important Notice

Before disabling a domain, carefully verify the following points. Disabling a domain is a high-risk operation, so proceed with caution.

1. Confirm whether the domain is CNAME-mapped to our platform. If it is, we recommend switching the domain resolution back to the origin server before disabling it. Otherwise, the domain may become inaccessible.
2. Verify whether the domain is used in other configurations, such as serving as the origin for other domains, acting as a cache file host, a log hosting server, or a traffic statistics host. Incorrectly disabling the domain may affect the accessibility and statistical data of other domains.
3. Check whether the domain has had any traffic within the past week.

6. After clicking Disable in the lower-left corner, a final confirmation message is displayed. After you click OK, you are returned to the domain list.

7. The domain status in the list changes to Disabling, and the system automatically starts the disabling deployment process.

8. When the domain status changes to Disabled, the process is complete. Acceleration services for the domain stop immediately, and attempts to access the domain URL fail.

9. If you need to restore acceleration services, use the Domain Enable feature.

How to Re-enable a Domain

1. Log in to the Atomile Console and select the product associated with your domain.
2. Go to Configuration and locate the domain you want to re-enable on the domain list page.
3. If the domain status is Disabled, click the button, and then click Enable to restore the service.

Notes

• When a domain is disabled in CDN services, its associated configuration is removed from the Atomile global CDN acceleration network. User requests may still be routed to CDN edge servers, but without the required configuration information, those requests cannot be processed correctly. To avoid potential service interruptions, make sure to update the domain’s DNS resolution settings so that they no longer point to a CNAME record assigned by Atomile before disabling the domain.

• Re-enabling a domain usually restores CDN services within 5 minutes. However, if the domain has remained disabled for an extended period, configuration conflicts may occur. In such cases, manual intervention from the technical team is required, and the issue cannot be resolved automatically by the system. If you need urgent restoration of CDN services for a domain, contact the technical support team directly and request priority handling.
