Batch Modify Origin

Last update:2026-07-13 15:55:55

Batch Modify Origin allows you to update basic and advanced origin configurations for multiple domains at the same time.

How to Perform a Batch Origin Switch

  1. Log in to the Atomile Console and select the appropriate product.
  2. Go to Configuration, select multiple domains, and click Batch Edit Origin.

Batch Modify Origin

This feature supports modifying:

  • only the basic origin configuration
  • only the advanced origin configuration
  • both basic and advanced origin configurations at the same time

If both Batch Edit Origin and Batch Edit Advanced Origin are selected, both basic and advanced origin configurations are modified.

Common Back-to-Origin Type

You can batch modify IPs/Hostname or Object Storage. For details, refer to Set Origins.

Batch Modify Alternate Back-to-Origin

You can batch modify Back-to-Origin Request HOST and Back-to-Origin Request Port. For details, refer to Set Origins.

Advanced Origin

  • To batch disable advanced origin, turn off the Advanced Origin switch.
  • To batch configure advanced origin, click Add to configure advanced origin rules. For details, refer to Set Origins.

Configure Back-to-Origin Detection

Because batch origin modification is a high-risk operation, ensure that the origin servers are available before deployment. Configure the detection URL in the back-to-origin detection settings, and click Detection to verify origin server availability.

After you complete the configuration, click OK, and then click Next to submit your settings. To minimize potential disruption to your production environment, we strongly recommend performing a Pre-deploy test in a staging environment. This important step helps ensure that your configuration is correct before it goes live.

After you confirm that the settings are correct, click Deploy Now to apply them to the live environment. The configuration typically takes effect within 3 to 5 minutes. For more information about pre-deployment testing and configuration validation, refer to Deploy the Configurations to Staging Environment for Validation.

Notes

There are two modes for Advanced Origin: Intelligent Back-to-Origin Detection and Weighted Back-to-Origin. If the selected domains use different advanced origin modes during batch modification, batch configuration cannot be performed. In this case, configure the domains individually or contact Atomile technical support.
