Atomile offers a one-click free SSL/TLS certificate feature that allows you to quickly upgrade your website to HTTPS. This automated system eliminates the complexity of manual certificate management. With just one click in the Atomile Console, you can obtain a free HTTPS certificate from Let’s Encrypt or ZeroSSL, which is automatically deployed to the CDN platform to enhance your website’s security and credibility.

Applying for a Certificate

1. Log in to the Atomile Console.
2. In the left-side menu, navigate to Certificate MGMT > Overview.
3. Click One-Click Certificate Application to open the certificate application page.

Setting Up Your Certificate

1. Grant permission for Atomile to apply for and deploy the free certificate on your behalf. By default, the certificate is a rapidly issued RSA DV SSL/TLS certificate.
2. Choose a certificate provider:
   • Atomile uses Let’s Encrypt by default.
   • If the Let’s Encrypt application fails, the system automatically attempts to request a certificate from ZeroSSL.
3. Enter the acceleration domain that requires the certificate. Make sure that the domain has already been created and is active in your account.
4. Select your preferred domain validation method. See the comparison table below.
5. Review the information and click One-Click Certificate Application to submit the request.

Tracking Your Application

You can monitor your application status in the task list. The system refreshes and displays the current status.

Certificate Status	Meaning
Applying	The application has been submitted and is being processed with the certificate provider.
Application Successfully	The certificate has been obtained but not yet deployed.
Application Failed	An error occurred during communication with the certificate provider, and the certificate was not issued.
Deployed Successfully	The certificate has been successfully deployed and associated with your domain.
Deployment Failed	An error occurred during deployment. Contact technical support.
Application Canceled	The certificate request was canceled.

Once the status is Deployed Successfully, the certificate is active for your domain and no further configuration is required.

Certificate Maintenance

Validity and Renewal

• Successfully issued certificates are valid for 90 days.
• You can view expiration dates in the application records.
• For certificates issued through file verification with the status Deployed Successfully, auto-renewal can be enabled.
• Atomile automatically requests a new certificate 30 days before expiration and deploys it seamlessly.

Important:

• If certificate providers begin charging for certificates that were previously free, auto-renewal will no longer be available automatically.
• Auto-renewal requests are subject to the same usage restrictions as initial applications. See Notes below.

Notes

• For Automatic File Validation: Make sure that your domain is active on the Atomile platform, the CNAME resolution is configured correctly, and your web server does not cache the certificate validation path.
• Domain Restrictions: Domains containing test, pay, bank, trust, or iran, or domains starting with www. (for example, www.example.com or the root domain example.com), are not eligible.
• Subdomain Limit: You can apply for up to 50 free certificates per week for subdomains under the same registered domain. Exceeding this limit across all platforms may cause the application to fail.
