Manage Control Groups

Last update:2026-07-10 16:23:29

Control Groups are collections of accelerated domains managed through Atomile that help organize your services. By assigning users to these groups, you grant them access to monitor traffic, review billing, and configure services for the domains included in the Control Group.

  • If you have multiple contracts with Atomile, such as several CA product contracts, Control Groups allow you to manage CDN domains by contract and organize resources to match your business structure.
  • Domains can belong to multiple Control Groups, and users can be assigned to multiple Control Groups at the same time.

Types of Control Groups

Predefined - Customer Control Group

  • Created automatically when your first contract and user are established
  • Contains all domains associated with your account
  • The name cannot be changed

Predefined - Product Control Group

  • Generated automatically for each new contract
  • Contains all domains associated with that specific contract
  • Allows you to view total traffic under the contract, reconcile it with billing statements, and plan for traffic changes
  • The name can be customized by a Main Account

User-Customized Control Group

  • Created and fully customized by a Main Account
  • Can include any combination of accelerated domains across your contracts
  • Provides flexible access management for all users associated with your account
